What has been really interesting about my genetic information project is the information I have learned about my own family tree, and the connections I have made with family members. I have been using GEDmatch.com, which offers several useful tools for analyzing raw DNA data, in addition to DNA matching tools offered by Ancestry.com.
I was contacted by one of my DNA matches, a distant cousin named Jim Bartlett. It turns out that Jim is a genealogist and is very knowledgeable about DNA research and chromosome mapping.
